(Read all the instructions first!!)

(I am not responsible if you don’t read them and lose fingers)

1.     Cut the plywood or pine into two triangles like this shape

a.     They need to be 15-18” tall depending on your wheel

Diameter (measure from axle of wheel to rim)

Bottom needs to be 6” in Length

2.     Take the 2, 2” 2x4 blocks and use 2 wood screw to Screw

them onto the triangles : like this (make sure they go into

the go from the triangle side into the 2x4)

·      Predrill your holes!

3.     Take the two red wood Strips and lay them flat on your workbench

Put the Triangles on top of them and use two more wood Screws to

Secure the 2x4 to the redwood strips. Make sure the Triangle are on the

Inside edge, with the 2x4 pointing outward: see the #3 diagram

4.     Do the same with the other side.

5.     Take the  two Triangles and lay them next to each other and attach

the 4 inch Red wood Strip to the back and one to the Front of the triangles up against

the bottom Redwood strips

6.     Cut the top 1” off the tops of the Triangle and cut a 1”x 1” deep square in the top of the triangles

7.     On the left side, 2x4 ( If you are standing facing the triangles with the angled side facing you), using a 1” hole drill bit or hole saw, drill down 1 inch at a 45 degree angle on the upper corner of the 2x4 ( put wood glue on the 1” dowel and glue into the hole. Let dry 24 hours

(go drink something of your choosing, good job, count your fingers and make sure they are all attached)

8.     In the top of the ½” dowel drill a 1/8” hole into it and put a small screw in it that you will use to hold the dial indicator

9.     Using a half inch Drill Bit, Drill a hole , 3/4 “ into the top of the 1” inch dowel, put glue on the Dowel.

10.  Attached the dial indicator with the pressure end toward the center of the two triangles

a.     when the wheel is installed the dial indicator should barely touch your rim when you spin it and the dial should move.

11.  Put your wheel in your two cut outs (will need your axle installed)

*IF you want to make sure the wheel is secure you can attach the two ends of the triangle just under your 1”x1” cutouts as an added sense of security.
